Middle Green River Coalition receives $10,000 grant for stewardship along Green River

 

The Rose Foundation  selected Middle Green River Coalition (MGRC) as a recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Puget Sound Stewardship and Mitigation Fund.

 

This funding will support the continued water quality and habitat restoration project adjacent to Soos Creek along the Green River in Auburn, Wash. near the Neeley Mansion.  To date, MGRC has planted more than 3,000 native willow and cottonwood on the site...READ MORE.

Middle Green River Coalition supports Institute for Community Leadership on canoe project

 

Kent and Covington middle and high school students with the Institute for Community Leadership teamed up with United Parcel Service volunteers this month to paint cedar canoe paddles and create community.
